Miles Burnam

Miles Burnam joined NPC in 2023 as a Project Engineer with building enclosure consulting and testing expertise. He has experience in testing and forensic investigation of building envelope and fenestration systems in accordance with ASTM, AAMA and USACE standards. Miles is a member of the ASTM Roofing and Waterproofing Committee and an FAA certified Remote UAS Pilot. Miles came to NPC from the Facilities Engineering Division of a large national engineering consulting firm where he managed a team of building envelope testing engineers.

Get to Know Miles
Q: What’s your all-time favorite project?
A: An air leakage investigation I performed in the executive office suite of a regional airport in Kentucky. This project was particularly interesting because it involved investigating air movement between several building sections constructed in different decades with different materials and techniques.

Q: What do you like about the work you do?
A: My favorite parts of consulting are getting to see buildings from different eras, comparing the differences and advancements over time and helping to prolong the life of the buildings I work on.

Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: In my spare time I enjoy building model cars and tinkering on anything mechanical.”
