NPC performs Capital Needs Assessments (CNAs), Project Capital Needs Assessments (PCNAs), and other similar assessments for affordable multifamily and senior housing developers and investors to meet the requirements of various state and federal agencies including USDA Rural Development and State Housing Agencies. These reports tend to be required by these agencies for restructuring financing, providing tax-credit financing, etc.

CNAs and PCNAs are unique in that the report requirements are very specific to each agency and they have to go through multiple reviews by many stakeholders in order to finally be approved. Having performed this work for over a decade, we understand the nuances of the various stakeholders and how their requirements align with the needs of our clients.

We staff our affordable housing work with Engineers and Architects who have extensive and specific affordable housing experience so that they are able to prepare accurate CNAs that align with our clients’ plans for the property and that will ultimately be approved by the various agencies.

As of the end of 2014, NPC has completed CNAs, PCNAs, and the like at over 139 affordable senior and multifamily communities representing over 12,818 apartment units at properties ranging from two to 1,150 units.
